IUPESM Administrative Council

The activities of the IUPESM are managed by the Administrative Council, which consists of the Officers of the IUPESM (the President, the Vice-President, the Secretary-General (Treasurer), and the Past-President plus the Ordinary Members consisting of the Presidents, Vice-Presidents and Secretaries-General of the IFMBE and IOMP (if they are not already IUPESM Officers) and four (4) members-at-large. The members-at-large are elected by the IUPESM General Assembly, with due consideration to a balance among the Constituent Organizations. and National Members. Presently the IUPESM Administrative Council has 11 members from Australia, Finland, France, Israel, Japan, Sweden, the United Kingdom and the United States of America. The terms of office are generally three years with exceptions as detailed in the IUPESM By-laws. The Administrative Council functions out of the office of the Secretary General by use of Quarterly Virtual Meetings using electronic communication methods. Real (in-person) meetings are held at least every three years at the triennial World Congress of Medical and Biological Engineering or at intermediate intervals as deemed necessary by the President.
