Eleni Kaldoudi Eleni Kaldoudi is an Associate Professor in Physics of Medical Imaging and Telemedicine in the School of Medicine, Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. Her research interests include Medical Informatics and Telehealth, with emphasis on technologies supporting e-learning in medical and biological education, home care telematics and patient empowerment, areas in which she has published one book, 5 book chapters and over 80 full papers in various journals and conference proceedings. Eleni has participated as a project leader or team member in more than 25 national and EU grants. Formerly, she has been an associate researcher at the Center of Medical Informatics and Telematics Applications in Medicine, Institute of Computer Science, Foundation of Research and Technology – Hellas (ICS-FORTH). Eleni has acted as a member of the Greek National Representative team for the EU FP7 Programme Capacities: “Regions of Knowledge, Research Potential and Coherent Development of Policies” during 2006-2010 and is currently an elected Member of the Council and the Secretary General in the European Alliance for Medical and Biological Engineering and Science (EAMBES).
